Actor Corey Haim’s Tragic Life Ended

Corey Haim’s tragic life came to an end in what appears to be a drug overdose.

Movies like The Lost Boys and Silver Bullet fed my penchant for monsters and dark fantasy in the late 80s. I had a lot fun sitting in the theater, watching Corey Haim battle vampires and werewolves. I think I knew he wasn’t a great thespian, but he seemed to have a lot of fun with what he was given. I’m saddened that he never found the strength to overcome the demons that haunted him. I pray he now rests in peace.

I think Corey Haim was a good actor and had the chops to be really great if not for his addictions. He proved he had talent in the movie Lucas. That was a wonderful film and he gave a tremendous performance.

Christina, you’re the second person to mention Lucas. I just checked out the trailer at Netflix, and you may be right. It looks like there may have been something there that could have flourished were it not squelched by drug addiction. I’m going to put Lucas on my list. Thanks for the tip.
