Good grief, I see why it's unpublished. I'm a voracious reader. I'll read just about anything, but this? No thanks. BORING. It's a NOVEL, not a non-fiction narration about whatever the hell place this is supposed to be. And, just fyi, if the reader can spot the author's politics in the prose -- and yours show like a neon sign, lady -- said author needs to start over. Just sayin'.

I work with a bunch of UGA graduates. Your opening paragraphs describe exactly how I imagine their university lives to have been. I can't wait to get my hands on this book.

THis is a terrible opening. Consider starting with a scene wherein something interesting happens. Polemics are only interesting to those who write them.

I like your POV but you use too many paragraphs to state your point. Cut half and remember to "show" rather than tell.
I am a fan of your non-fiction, but an opening to a book is so important. If it falls flat, most people won't read your book. Please consider revising.
