Entertainment Prices Outstrip Inflation

Entertainment prices are rising much more rapidly than the overall inflation rate.

Entertainment impresarios claim that consumers are getting more for their money, but that doesn’t wash. A representative of the Chicago-area restaurant/live-entertainment venue Medieval Times says, “Our knights are very talented, athletic; what they do is not an easy task—it’s very physically demanding,” as quoted in the Chicago Sun-Times. Yes, but they were very talented and athletic and their tasks were very demanding before prices went through the roof. That’s just a price hike.
